DATUM, an Infogix Company, in Gartner’s Evaluation of Metadata Management Solutions

Ranking First for Data Value Use Case and Second, Third and Fourth for Data Governance, Data Risk and Compliance, and Data Analysis Use Cases, Respectively

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Dec. 4, 2018 – Infogix, a leading provider of data management tools and recent acquirer of DATUM, today announced its recognition in Gartner’s first evaluation of Critical Capabilities for Metadata Management Solutions.

As an extension to Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions, the Critical Capabilities is designed to aid data and analytics leaders in their solution selection. The report evaluates 11 critical capabilities to meet the growing demands of four specific use cases as they relate to metadata management:

  • Data Governance
  • Data Risk and Compliance
  • Data Analysis
  • Data Value

DATUM, an Infogix Company and a leader in data governance software and strategic services, ranked the highest in the Data Value Use Case with a score of 4.34/5 and received no scores lower than 4.29 for the additional three use cases. Infogix was also included in the evaluation.
