Session Teaches Attendees How to Manage Information Assets for Competitive Advantage
HOUSTON and NAPERVILLE, IL, May 5, 2008 – Infogix, Inc., the leading provider of independent, automated, and continuous information controls, represented by Client Services Unit Leader Angsuman Dutta, will co-present the Cost of Information Integrity Failures at the 2008 American Society for Quality (ASQ) World Conference on Quality and Improvement on Monday, May 5. This session will emphasize how data management initiatives within enterprise environments must address the integrity of information assets to minimize the negative impact of information errors.
The special Cost of Information Integrity Failures (M15) session occurs on Monday, May 5, from 4:15 -5:00 p.m. CST, Room 372 CF as part of the ASQ World Conference on Quality and Improvement at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
Most organizations perform a variety of data management activities, including data audits and cleaning to ensure the integrity of the information they create and process for internal and external use. However, these efforts are limited in scope and reactive. Proactively managing Information Integrity issues with information controls helps the Fortune 500 anticipate and detect errors or exceptions within data processes before they affect the bottom line.
“In today’s information-intensive business environment, organizations constantly generate and exchange information. Such processes are often subject to both systematic and idiosyncratic information risks which can result in costly information errors,” says Dutta. “By implementing solutions that anticipate when and where these failures occur, leading companies will build and maintain competitive advantage while having confidence in making data-driven business decisions.”
Infogix Controls continuously verify, balance, reconcile, and track information flowing through a business process, application, or exchange. These controls compare information against other diverse information sources or other expected results to generate alerts, halt erroneous transactions, as well as provide analysis and trending over time to pinpoint and help resolve information errors.
