Captain Lovell of Apollo 13 to Speak at Conference

The Excellence in Information Integrity Award banquet that takes place during the Unitech Systems Conference in May is now even more exciting.

Naperville, Ill. – January 8, 2002 – That Tuesday evening, participants will be transported to the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum on Chicago's beautiful lakefront to see the 2001 award winners honored, and more. Commander of Apollo 13, Captain James A. Lovell, Jr., will be speaking at the award event. In his career as an astronaut, Captain Lovell piloted Gemini 7, commanded Gemini 12, orbited the moon on Apollo 8 and commanded the aborted Apollo 13 moon flight. Captain Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger co-authored the book, "Lost Moon," the story of the courageous Apollo 13 mission. In 1995, the renamed bestseller, "Apollo 13" became a major motion picture starring Tom Hanks.

Captain Lovell has made a highly successful transition from explorer to businessman, garnering him an impressive share of honors and awards. His distinctive range of experience and education makes him uniquely qualified to speak about the importance of accurate, consistent and reliable information.

The Unitech Systems Conference 2001 takes place May 13-17, 2002, in Chicago. Your registration for the Unitech Systems Conference includes the Excellence in Information Integrity Award event. However, space at the award banquet is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
